Remnants of a lost

Visual Sunday

Remnants of a Lost is enlarged small prints and contact sheets of photographs I took in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and Syria in 1981.

Unfortunately, the negatives failed to turn up with my luggage at the airport, and have not been seen since. Because the photos in this album are mostly enlargements from contact sheets the quality is not good enough for a normal exhibition.

Nevertheless, they can be enhanced, or even used as they are – their imperfections are part of the story of this exhibition. I hope that they can be suitable for print publishing or possibly a book.

I think the photos are an important documentary part of Palestinian history, and I encourage people to use them.
