Road song

Tigran Hamasyan was born in 1987 in Gyumri, and moved with his family to Yerevan when he was 10. He started playing the piano at a very early age and is now one of the most acclaimed jazz pianists of his generation. When not in Armenia or touring, he lives in Los Angeles. Tigran invited the Armenian photographer Karen Mirzoyan to shoot his latest video, Road Song, which is part of his upcoming album Shadow Theatre. The clip is shot in black and white, in a retro fashion, with dreamlike and playful elements reminiscent of Michel Gondry’s style — until an unexpected and colourful turn of events.
